Bethel’s a church of fifty or sixty people, of all ages and backgrounds. Almost all of us live in Clydach, or the surrounding villages of Glais, Trebanos, Ynystawe and Craig Cefn Parc. There’s something on most days of the week, but our two Sunday services at 10:30am and 6:00pm are our focus. Both services include prayer, singing and Bible teaching, and we sing a mix of traditional and more modern hymns. In the morning there’s a short talk for the children, before they go downstairs for Sunday School. In both services there’s a 35 minute message from the Bible (you can listen to previous sermons online). After the evening service, most of us stick around for a chat over cake and coffee.

We meet in our  modern building on Heol-y-nant. It’s fully accessible for the disabled, and has a hearing loop system for those that need it. Oh, and if you’re used to uncomfortable pews, you don’t need to worry — our chairs are probably more comfortable than any other church you’ve been too! We don’t have a car-park, but there are plenty of on-street parking places nearby. And don’t worry about what to wear. You’ll see everything from jeans to suits to traditional Indian attire.

If you’re not able or ready to come to a Sunday service, why not join us on a Wednesday morning for coffee? We’ll be there between 10 and 11.30am, so just pop along for as long or as little as you’d like. There’s no charge, and we’re always glad to see new faces.

Please note

Sunday Services is not currently scheduled.

Kath Hamm’s story

“God has kept me and given me strength through some very difficult times”

Even though at times I’ve been afraid and had little faith, God’s love for me has remained constant, promising to never leave me nor forsake me, no matter what may lie ahead.
