« Upon what does Jesus build his church? An unmistakable change Swimming to Jesus »

Psalm 61 (Listen)

To the choirmaster: with stringed instruments. Of David.

61:1   Hear my cry, O God,
    listen to my prayer;
2   from the end of the earth I call to you
    when my heart is faint.
  Lead me to the rock
    that is higher than I,
3   for you have been my refuge,
    a strong tower against the enemy.
4   Let me dwell in your tent forever!
    Let me take refuge under the shelter of your wings! Selah
5   For you, O God, have heard my vows;
    you have given me the heritage of those who fear your name.
6   Prolong the life of the king;
    may his years endure to all generations!
7   May he be enthroned forever before God;
    appoint steadfast love and faithfulness to watch over him!
8   So will I ever sing praises to your name,
    as I perform my vows day after day.

Oasis
Oasis is a weekly meeting for bible-study and fellowship. It takes place on most Tuesday afternoons between 2:00 and 3:30 (with breaks for school holidays). Each week a different guest speaker brings a word from the Bible, and there's plenty of time for fellowship over a cup of tea and a cake.

Anna’s story

“I wanted forgiveness and heaven, but I thought doing what God wanted would make me unhappy”

I desperately wanted all the good things being a Christian has to offer; forgiveness, heaven, etc., but I didn't want to do anything that was too difficult or uncomfortable for me. I thought doing what God wanted would stop me being happy. But it’s funny how things turn out, isn't it? My biggest fear came true and yet I am happier than I ever dreamed I would be. I know I can trust God with all my fears; knowing and trusting him is the happiest place to be. He made us as people who will only ever be truly satisfied and happy when we find our satisfaction and happiness in him.
